So as sad as it is for me to admit, summer is coming to an end. Suddenly I noticed it's getting dark sooner, and then tonight the weather changed. It's actually cool outside, and as I write I'm drinking a hot cup of tea. I haven't had hot tea at night in months which means fall is just around the corner. Tomorrow it will probably be 85 degrees again, and I can ignore the fact that school is starting soon. As the nights come sooner, lights become more important. Lights are quite helpful, and all the creative lights make atmospheres so warm and inviting. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path." I've always looked at this verse as help to walk in the dark places which it is, but what if it's more than just light to walk. God's Word gives us light to know what to do, but I think it also changes the atmosphere of our path. God's words change our daily life. Outdoor weddings with lights in the tents are places that are captivating. It's beautiful! (It's been a summer of weddings.) I believe God's Word goes beyond the necessity of light and makes life beautiful. Keep keeps the lights glowing in life.
