So in my house no one waits to eat dessert or snacks. No one waits to use their time on the TV or the X-Box, but time seems to pass before the dishes are washed and the homework is completed. Sometimes it's the hard work that we tend to avoid. Avoidance issues have been a part of life for years. Joshua 18:3 says, "Then Joshua asked them, 'How long are you going to wait before taking possession of the remaining land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given to you?" Even though the Israelites have waited so long to be in the promise land, and they waited for their specific family land, some were slow to take possession of their land. God has never given me land, but he has given me promises. The promises in God's Word are for me embrace and apply, but I struggle too.

"Tell those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But their trust should be in the living God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good." 1 Timothy 6:17
Promise...God gives us all we need for our enjoyment.
"For God is not unfair. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other Christians, as you still do." Hebrews 6:10
Promise...God is fair, and He knows our work.

Takeaway...Find your promise and claim it!
