Since I have three sons, I here talk about "how tall" and "how big" someone is constantly. Cameron was home this weekend so naturally, Chandler wants to see how much he has grown. The inches aren't his concern, but where he is when he stands next to his older brother is vital information! From sport season to sport season, I hear how tall players are and how much they weigh. None of it sticks with me, but the numbers fly. With big and tall may come success; with big and tall come security. For players it may be a starting position or job security. A powerful person is someone people may follow to a stadium. Sometimes I'm guilty of overlooking how powerful God is. I ask for reasonable requests and doable solutions. But what about the dream, the crazy, the request that only God could accomplish? Do I not ask because I don't want God to look like He failed? Do I not ask because I lack faith? Ephesians 1:19-20, "I pray that you will begin to understand the incredible greatness of his power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms." God is all-powerful. Ask Him for big solutions; ask Him for water and sewer!
