My daughter, Cambree, loves to laugh. When she starts laughing hard, she can barely stand-up. It's hilarious to watch. This week one of my children recorded Cambree dancing and being silly. She watches the video on my phone and laughs at herself, and then shows everyone...and laughs more. She has probably watched herself a hundred times doing the same silly dance, and she still laughs. I love it! I need to enjoy life and laugh more. But life isn't always funny. Life hurts. Along with the hurts and bumps of life come tears.
Romans 12:15 says, "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Have you taken the time to celebrate with someone lately? Have you received a phone call or a text from a friend explaining an answer to prayer or a great story of God showing up in their life? Take time to be happy with a friend. God tells us to take the time to do this because it helps everyone involved. "Mourn with those who mourn" means exactly what it says...cry with those who are crying. This isn't a few tears; it's an ugly cry. God tells us to cry with those who are hurting. Have you cried with someone recently? Celebrating is more fun, but they both take time...and connection. Be close and connected with others. God desires for us to live that way.
