At the beginning of this year, I wrote a question in my journal. My goal was to find God's answer to my question as I read the Bible this year. I truly want His wisdom in my life. I realize more every year how much I need God, and I am even more amazed at the wonderful Book He has given me. I love God's Word.

Because I have six wonderful children all at different stages in life who look at life through their own unique glasses, I am asking God, "How should I respond to my children?" I believe responding to those around us is a challenge in every stage of life so these verses I hope are helpful.

"Though good advice lies deep within a person's heart, the wise will draw it out." Proverbs 20:5

"Be patient with each other making allowance for each other's faults." Ephesians 4:2

"Do not be bitter or angry or mad. Never shout angrily or say things to hurt others. Never do anything evil. Be kind and loving to each other. Forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ." Ephesians 4:30-31

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger. The wise person makes learning a joy, fools spout only foolishness." Proverbs 15:1,2

This set of verses has made me examine my responses. Responding to others is a constant activity that we are all involved with daily. How are you responding to those in your world?
