My neighbor Margaret is enjoyable to talk to because she has lived 80 years. She tells great stories, and she has an interesting perspective on life. It's fun to hear how she raised her children. She talks about decisions she wishes they had made. She still talks about the beach house they should have bought. Margaret doesn't have a personal relationship with Christ, but I hear God's Word in some of our conversations.
Romans 2:14 says, "Even when Gentiles, who do not have God's written law, instinctively follow what the law says, they show that in their hearts they know right from wrong. They demonstrate that God's law is written within them, for their own consciences either accuse them or tell them they are doing what is right." Isn't it kind-of a crazy verse? God's Word is written within people. God's Word is everywhere...it's even in those who don't believe it.
Truth, kindness, love, serve, give, share, forgive, respect, honor...all from God's Word. It's in everyone. The next time you share God's love with someone, remember it's not that crazy for them because it's in them.
