This week I am enjoying vacation. Vacation is wonderful for so many reasons. Today I was at the beach, and we had so much fun with the sand and waves. It was a challenge to make sure we could see all the kids in the waves. The water kept moving them. As I sat there, I was reminded...how beautiful the ocean is. And the sound, even though it's loud, is calming. I loved sitting watching my children and the waves.

God's creation is an incredible reminder of how powerful God is. I need that reminder. The kids came out of the water today saying that they couldn't believe how strong the waves were. Sometimes unless we see and feel God's power we loose sight of how great He is. Psalm 7:1 says, "I come to you for protection, O Lord my God. Save me from my persecutors-rescue me!" David believed in God's power. Later in verse six he says, "Stand up against the fury of my enemies!". "End the evil of those who are wicked, and defend the righteous." David put his trust in God.

Do you pray believing in God's power? The kind of power that you see and feel in the ocean...Do you even ask God for help or do you try to fix it all yourself? I try when I should be trusting. This week...trust God's power.
