Today, I enjoyed a field trip with Cailee. I really like going on field trips even though they are a little crazy at times. It's fun to get a glimpse into her world at school, and I love getting to know the children she is with everyday. The Delaware Museum of Natural History was where we were today, and it was intense. There was so much information shared in about three hours. I was glad I didn't have to take a quiz on the information because I wouldn't have done very well. But as I listened to the guides, I was amazed at how much information they knew about the animals they were discussing. They not only knew the facts; they were pretty passionate about what we could do to change the future.
As I read Psalm one, I love verses two and three. "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he mediates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." I think, the guides on the field trip today were passionate about animals. Am I passionate about God? Do I truly delight in his law? If I do, I should know a lot about God, and I should be sharing it with passion. Working through God's Word... studying, writing, memorizing, sharing, and making it part of my life takes time. What am I going to put my heart into?
