Praying...

Do you ever wonder how God will use you? Sometimes as I go throughout my day, and I check off my lists of what to do and where to go, I struggle with how will God use me. In all the everyday stuff what can I do for God. When I'm at the orthodontist's office, grocery store, post office, school, soccer field, track meet and bank, I feel, like I'm running, but I don't feel like I'm accomplishing much for God. Colossians 4:2-6 are just great encouraging verses to me of what I can pray so that I will see my days through God's eyes. First, I need to pray that my eyes will be wide open in gratitude. Gratitude changes a person. If we live a thankful life, we are content, peaceful people that look different. We will be people who act different from the crowd. A grateful person is a wonderful person to be around. Next, I need to pray that God will open doors for me to share Christ. If I'm looking for these opportunities, I will see them. Lastly, when I have the opportunity to say something about Christ, I will be clear.

So how do I talk about Christ? This is when we get nervous...actually saying something. Colossians says to do the following: "use your heads as you live and work", "make the most of every opportunity", "be gracious in your speech", and "bring out the best in others". When we talk to others about Christ, do they walk away curious and encouraged? As you go throughout your week, pray. Pray for God to give you the chance to say something for Him.
