I have really enjoyed watching Cambree walking. She is getting faster and steadier everyday. There are lots of falls and bumps. Recently, she has started to carry things around with her, and it looks so funny to see her carrying things that are almost as big as she is. She is determined to do things herself. It starts so young. Don't we all try to carry stuff that is too big for us? We work hard at doing things all on our own too.
Colossians 2:13 and 14 says, "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcised of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross." God has forgiven us all our sins, and there is nothing we have to do. We have nothing to carry around, but doesn't it seem like we carry our sin and guilt with us. Why? For some reason we start out at a young age trying to do everything ourselves. Christ takes care of us. He loves us, and he has totally forgiven us.
This week...don't carry around any heavy stuff. Thank God for forgiving you and smile.
