Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! It's hard to believe this is the week of Christmas. I hope you are enjoying the week and not stressing. I think, it's a hard balance. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is our Advent Book by Jack and Kathy Stockman. Tonight we opened door 20. It's one of the favorite doors because there is a picture of Jesus as a toddler, and he has black curly hair. My children say that it looks like my husband as a little boy. Clarice's favorite door is door 15. When you open that door it says, "Mary knew these things were precious, and she thought about them often in her heart." I love that door too. I've always wondered what she thought about in her heart. The artist of the book has a picture of Mary holding baby Jesus, and she is just staring at Him. There was so much for her to think about as she held her son. The Savior of the world was in her arms. Her baby...God's Son.

It's good to stop and think because if we don't we may feel like we missed the celebration. Before this week is done, stop and enjoy the Christmas season. Do something you enjoy. Also take some quiet time to look at Jesus and think about Him. Grab your Bible and read the Christmas story. Take time to look at Jesus.
