My refrigerator door...

I have a picture of a pretty little girl on my refrigerator door. This little girl isn't a daughter of mine, but she is someone special. Her name is Nalubega Tendo. I really don't know very much about her...but I need too. She is a little girl who lives in Uganda, and she depends on our financial support.

When I read Proverbs 19:17 today, I thought about the privilege it is to give to Nalubega. The verse says, "He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward him for what he has done." Matthew 25 talks about how Jesus was hungry and thirsty, but he was cared for by us who give. The God-head is touched by how we show love to the poor.

I have one little girl I see on my refrigerator everyday, but I know I don't do enough. What else does she need? What else could I be doing? I have been reading about how God loves the poor, and how I need to help them. How can I give to God can I touch His heart? Give to the poor. I need to focus more on the poor because it's close to God's heart and that's where I want to be.
