So does 1+1 always equal 2? It should in our math...right? But have you ever noticed that sometimes God does some crazy adding when we give what we have in our hands? Sometimes we limit God because we look at our "stuff" and say well God couldn't use what I have to give, or we might say I don't have enough to make a difference. Proverbs 22:9 says, "A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor." Now the verse doesn't say when a rich man shares his food, but rather it says a generous man. We can all really do something for someone else because when we are generous, God blesses.
Love Week is coming soon. I love Love Week. I love watching my family helping others even if it isn't comfortable at times. It opens all of our eyes to people around us. When we open our hands and become generous, it changes us. We are really never the same. We see needs that before we didn't even notice, and when we begin to get generous, it's hard to stop. There is a blessing in giving...God says there is, but for some reason we don't always believe God. God's takes our 1+1, and He makes it more than 2. So be ready to be generous this Love Week and watch God bless.
Go. Serve. Love.
