I had the opportunity this last weekend to go to the Women of Faith conference in Philadelphia. I loved it. I had two days of being away...just worshiping, learning, laughing, and crying. Throughout the weekend, I heard the journey of the women who are apart of Women of Faith. As I listened, I was reminded that God is always at work in all of us. We all have a story. Because these women were willing to share the journey they are on, I was challenged and encouraged. I came home with some new goals, and I have some areas I want to change.
Proverbs 16:7 says, "When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him." Am I pleasing God? Where do I need to re-evaluate? Since I was away, I had the chance to truly think about my life. It isn't always easy to get away, but maybe you can go on a long walk or hide in a room. Sometimes we just need to find a place where we can think and pray.
Have you had time to think about your journey? Take time this week to evaluate your journey. Sit with a journal and pencil. Write. Is your life pleasing the Lord?
