Well, it’s been one year. I have officially been a PA resident for a year, and I love where I live. Tonight as I write it is snowing, and it’s beautiful. The trees look amazing. Every season is so pretty here. I am so thankful that God has brought us here…to Fellowship. It’s been fun in the last few months to see familiar faces when we go places, and it’s more than just familiar…many are new friends. All my new friends make me feel so at home. God has truly blessed me. God is purposeful at putting us right where we should be.
In Acts 18 Paul is now in Corinth. Corinth is a big deal in Greece. It is even more important than Athens, but Corinth is also the center of big sin. The worship of Corinth was extremely immoral. The city was probably an intimidating place to be. Where do you start? Did Paul have great hope for Corinth? Corinth was key. God wanted Paul in Corinth. “One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city’.”(18:9,10) God didn’t want Paul to be discouraged; He didn’t want Paul to move on from Corinth. “God had many people in this city.” That’s just an amazing verse. I think, God wants me to hear that too. I truly believe God has many people in my city, Garnet Valley. God has placed each of us where we live for a purpose. God has placed each of us where we work for a purpose. God brings people into our life. We need to live a life of love so we can help the people God has in our city. As the years pass, I don’t want to ever forget that this is where God wants me…because he has many people in this city.
